Inside a steel plant, handling is a complex and dangerous work due to the very large loads handled and the different types of large vehicles that restrict the visual field to drivers and increase the risk of accidents. The customer needs a solution to reduce the risk of collisions between large handling vehicles and workers on foot that work around a vehicle.
AME’s solution was to install the EGOpro Safe MOVE SMART system in all the vehicles and provide pedestrian workers with EGOpro active TAGs. In this way, even if vision is poor due to the large loads handled, the system successfully warns the driver in real time that there is a pedestrian worker, and shows exactly where such worker is, within a danger zone, and so prevents a potential collision.
