EGOpro Security nursing homes
EGOpro Case di Cura – Controlling exit points from facilities allows 24-hour surveillance of «challenging guests» whose unsupervised exits can create issues for the nursing home which has a responsibility of care towards them.
Each patient is provided with a Tag (which is usually inserted into a wristwatch type of bracelet) and an array of equipment is placed at the access points (entrances and exits) that need to be controlled.
The TAG recognises the patient each time he/she approaches a controlled point and two situations can be set up:
1) in hazardous zones, once the patient has been identified, an alarm is raised and the doorway is closed (or cannot be opened).
2) when monitoring is needed, a survey of those patients within each section can be done.
The Tag associated with a patient who needs to be monitored and cared for is associated with an alarm which warns of an imminent hazard each time the patient (wearing the Tag) approaches a controlled point. Hence, the EGOpro system does not just issue a warning when the patient approaches a hazardous zone or controlled point, but also identifies the patient him/herself.
